Conference on “Modern Automatic Fire Suppression Systems for Transport and Special Equipment. Integrated Transport Security”: Trip Highlights

Last week was an eventful one for Kalancha, and throughout this week we will be sharing the results of our business trips with you.

On May 19–20, Kalancha employees took part in the 2nd North-Western Conference, held at the Research Institute for Advanced Studies and Innovative Technologies in Life Safety of the St. Petersburg University of the State Fire Service of EMERCOM of Russia.

Kalancha was represented at the conference by:

• Igor Anatolyevich Prokhorov, Technical Director;

• Evgenia Vladimirovna Tarasenko, Director for Client Relations;

• Andrey Vladimirovich Kosilov, Head of the Fire Automation Division.

Over the course of two days, participants discussed key issues related to transport and special equipment safety:

• modern automatic fire suppression systems;

• specific aspects of electric transport protection and traction battery fire extinguishing;

• regulatory requirements;

• operational experience with systems used on passenger transport;

• automation and integrated solutions in transport security.

Particular interest was drawn to the second day of the conference, which featured fire tests at an active EMERCOM training ground. In real conditions, participants were able to observe the operation of various fire suppression systems and assess the effectiveness of technical solutions during simulated vehicle fire scenarios.

The conference served as an important platform for professional dialogue, the exchange of practical experience, and discussion of the industry’s current challenges.

The event brought together representatives of transport, industrial, oil and gas, and mining enterprises, as well as fire safety specialists.
