The system consisting of BiZone standard powder-gas fire-extinguishing modules МГПП-110 is designed for automatic fire extinguishing in vertical steel tanks with stand-alone internal floating roof (VSTF) and without internal floating roof (VST). The system consists of main and spare batteries installed in one base.
The powder-gas fire-extinguishing system is placed outside a diked area at a distance of at least one meter. Portable fire-fighting machinery is connected using a high-pressure foam generator. Foam is supplied through pipelines and nozzles for diffusion of gas-powder fire-extinguishing agents.
It is applied for protection of both separate tanks and groups of tanks of up to 5,000 m3.
